Background / Interesting Fact:  Coach Jones is an alum of Murrieta Mesa High School. A 2012
graduate, he is a member of the first graduating class at Mesa. As a student-athlete, he was a member of
the Ram Football and Tennis teams. As the WR coach in 2016, Murrieta Mesa ranked 2nd in Receiving
Yards in the Southwestern League. In 2017 Mesa ranked 1st in the Southwestern League in Receiving
Yards and 2nd in Receiving Touchdowns. 2017 also saw Mesa WR Giovanni Sanders finish 5th in the
state of California in Receiving Yards (1,695) and 6th in the state of California in Receiving Touchdowns
(23). The 2018 season concluded with Mesa finishing 2nd in the Southwestern League in Receiving
Yards. A 2018 graduate of CSUSM, Coach Jones is pursuing a Single Subject Teaching Credential and
M.Ed from National University. Coach Jones enjoys working out, long walks on the beach, and hiking with
his two German Shepherds, Barrett and Klaus.
